  1. (S) Luke 21:14-15,19

    (O) Jesus warns his followers that they will experience persecution, but he also assures them that he will be there giving them the correct words to respond that those persecutors will not be able to rebuttal! God is the great debater! He comforts us, assures us, and equips us even with words. He loves us so much. With his assurance we can stand firm on his word because he always does what he says. Jesus followers will suffer persecutions and some will even die, but that will be a physical death, for their "SOULS' will be saved for eternal life.

    (A) I can have complete assurance in what God says. That he will protect me, comfort, me and sustain me spiritually through anything that I may go through. Physically, I may experience a lot of things, be because I stand according to the word of God that eternally, my life will be saved. My eyes will be focused on God promises and not what going on around me, for I shall hide his word in my heart. For death cannot separate me from the love of God!

    (P) Father, the God of assurance! Thank you for comforting your people with words of fulfillment. You have never failed us not matter what goes on in our lives or in the world. You keep your word and you uphold it to the end of time. I pray that I will continue to stand on your word, to stand firm, through whatever I may go through. I pray for you strength and power that is made perfect in my weakness. I thank you for mature and continued growth to understand the fullness of your power and your word. Ephesians says that your love is wide, deep, high, and long, and you have always proven. Your love sometimes cannot be understood because it's so GREAT, but I rest assured that I am rooted and grounded in your love and you will always take care of me! In Jesus Name, Amen!
