  1. (S) Luke 20:46-47

    (O) The teachers of the law like the authority in which they walked in so they could receive outside recognition and respect. But Jesus wasn't concerned about what they "appeared to be," he knew their hearts were far from him and they didn't really believe. They still cheated people and had bad hearts. God doesn't like those that portray to be one thing, only truly acting "religious" and their hearts aren't truly given to him. He said they would be severely punished.

    (A) Be careful that the life I say I live in Christ is not only showed outwardly, but that my heart is a direct reflection. That I don't just walk and talk like a Christian, but my heart is given to Jesus, I love him and others.

    (P) Heavenly Father, Holy is your name! Thank you for allowing me to have access to you Kingdom by your son Jesus. I don't take it for granted that you have called me and equipped me with everything I need in your son to serve others. Forgive me for all the times that my walk and talk said I was a Christian but my ways were far from the. I thank you for your grace to walk up new every morning and allowing me another opportunity to live in you. I pray that as I continue my walk, that my heart will be a reflection of Christ and your word and my actions will follow. In Jesus Name, Amen!
